Privacy Policy

What we collect

sunsetly is designed to be private by default. Here is a complete list of information the app uses:

• Photos you choose to share — only when you explicitly submit a sunset to the global relay. Shared photos are stored on Cloudflare R2 and referenced in CloudKit. No metadata beyond timezone is attached.
• Approximate timezone — to show you sunsets relevant to the current golden hour. Never precise location.
• Anonymous usage data — crash reports via Apple's opt-in system. We do not use third-party analytics.

What we never do

• Sell your data to anyone, ever.
• Require account creation or email.
• Track your precise location.
• Run advertising SDKs.

Data deletion

Photos stored locally can be deleted from within the app at any time. To request removal of a photo you've shared to the global relay, email us at privacy@sunsetly.app with the approximate date and timezone.
